Procedure for Sample Shipment

Step 1: Pre-shipping admin

  • Make sure all samples are registered in the PathoCloud with their corresponding barcode. 

Step 2: Package preparation

  • Collect all bags containing the samples (bacterial & viral tubes).
  • Add all samples to a leak-free bag with sufficient absorption paper. 
  • Place the bag containing the samples into the shipping box. Add sufficient packing material (such as bubble wrap or foam) to prevent the samples from shifting during transport.
  • Add shipment label to the box.

Step 3: Shipment

Leave the box at the agreed upon spot at the agreed upon time for pickup by the courier.

Tracking Sample Status:
Once samples arrive at PathoSense, the status will be changed in the cloud platform from 'Arrived' to 'In preparation'.
